Settings and Populations: Mental health promotion and illness prevention

Introduction

These pages will provide access to information concerning 'what we know' about mental health promotion and illness prevention approaches for a range of population groups and in a variety of settings.

We hope that this approach to packaging information will support increased understanding of the relevance of promotion and prevention approaches within a range of contexts outside of the mental health sector.

Each of the series will focus on:

  • The evidence, rationale and benefits of incorporating promotion and  prevention approaches within the relevant population group or setting
  • Programs/implementation strategies
  • Relevant Australian policy
  • Examples of good practice
  • Key resources and links

The first 2 papers in this series are available now:
