At Auseinet
With the increasing incidence of mental illness, Auseinet supports consumer and carer networks to promote the implementation of approaches that focus on:
- recovery (the ability to live well with a mental illness)
- community resilience
- community wellbeing
- effective early treatment
- relapse prevention.

Auseinet’s role
Auseinet focuses on consumer and carer issues by:
- facilitating the exchange of perspectives and information between networks nationally
- providing perspectives of people who use mental health services, their families and carers
- working with ‘champions’ in local areas
- developing resources to assist consumers and carers
- providing access to information, research and key contacts.
